On May 20, the "Emergency Mission 2025" flood control and disaster relief exercise for the upper reaches of the Yangtze River was successfully held in Chongqing. The exercise was co-hosted by the National Flood Control and Drought Relief Command Office, the Ministry of Emergency Management, and the Chongqing Municipal People's Government. This is the first large-scale, cross-regional, comprehensive flood control emergency drill held in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River in China, focusing on flood disasters induced by extreme weather and covering multiple critical aspects such as early warning response, mass evacuation, emergency communication, and post-disaster relief.
As a leading enterprise in the private network communication industry, Caltta focused on the core mission of "establishing a life communication line in disaster areas" during this emergency communication exercise. By deploying its independently developed broadband and narrowband systems and other professional equipment, the company successfully built a comprehensive communication support system.
The system achieved two core functions: first, it established a visual command and dispatch platform to ensure precise communication of directives at all levels; second, it created a real-time multimedia information feedback channel to achieve comprehensive situational awareness at the rescue site. This exercise not only effectively validated the practical efficacy of the company's cutting-edge technology but also highlighted the crucial role of domestic communication technology enterprises in the construction of the national emergency system.
Building a "Never Offline" Communication System
Caltta Emergency Communication Products Coordinated Support
This exercise simulated an extreme situation where continuous heavy rainfall caused widespread disruptions to transportation, power, and communication. Facing high-risk challenges of "broken roads, power, and communication", Caltta quickly built an efficient, stable, and flexible communication network using several self-developed 370MHz digital trunking communication devices, leveraging Chongqing's 370MHz emergency command narrowband wireless communication network: Integrated Digital Trunking Base Station BS8700M provides on-site private network signal coverage and has the advantages of rapid deployment and activation. It can be flexibly installed on forward command vehicles, highlands, or temporary stands, providing critical voice communication support for rescue personnel in disaster areas.
Narrowband Ad-Hoc Network Mobile Station SmartLink600 features cascading multi-hop and flexible networking. In complex areas where the private network base stations cannot cover, the narrowband ad-hoc network mobile station can fill in communication blind spots.
Digital Dual-Mode Terminal GH960S integrates professional trunking and public network communication capabilities, balancing dispatch efficiency and business diversity. It was widely used for daily communication and trunking dispatching among on-site team members during the exercise.
Broadband Ad-Hoc Network Backpack sMesh100, along with surveillance cameras and individual video transmission devices, transmitted real-time disaster area footage back to the frontline command center under conditions where the public network was not available. This effectively assisted commanders in understanding on-site situations and making informed decisions.
Technological Support for Practical Verification
Caltta's "On-Field Reliability"
This emergency communication solution demonstrated significant advantages of "fast establishment, strong resilience, and stable communication" under extreme conditions, providing crucial support in ensuring the efficient flow of emergency information during the exercise.
"An exercise is a real battle, and real results come from practical tests." In this national-level emergency drill, which integrated complex disaster scenarios, multi-level coordination, and various technical equipment, Caltta's communication products withstood rigorous testing across multiple scenarios and subjects, fully demonstrating their practicality and reliability in extreme disaster environments.
Several commanders on-site expressed that the communication equipment provided by Caltta performed excellently in deployment speed, link stability, and transmission effects. Especially in conditions of "three breaks," the equipment quickly restored communication, ensuring voice dispatch and image feedback, securing precious time for the frontline rescue efforts, and effectively supporting the completion of the exercise tasks.
This "Emergency Mission 2025" was not just a national flood control drill but also a concentrated review of multi-departmental, cross-regional, and comprehensive public safety capabilities. Caltta deeply participated in the entire exercise process with practical communication products and professional technical services, effectively promoting the deep integration of private network communication and emergency response.
In the future, Caltta will continue its mission of "technological empowerment for public safety". Focusing on key scenarios such as disaster prevention and mitigation, emergency rescue, and major security, the company will continuously refine its product capabilities and innovate technical models to help build a more intelligent, efficient, and reliable modern emergency communication system, contributing to the solid defense of peoples' safety.
