Enhancing Smooth Fishery Communication at Songhua Lake with Caltta ECS Solution

Jilin, China - July 2024 - Caltta Technologies, a leading provider of critical communication solution, is advancing the digitalization of industry partners through technological innovation. Recently, the expansive water area of Songhua Lake deployed a Caltta ECS (Enhanced Conventional System), covering 550 square kilometers to ensure unimpeded fishery communications.

The vast area and complex environmental conditions of Songhua Lake, including the lake surface, islands, coastal vegetation, and terrain, pose significant challenges for signal coverage. Particularly in remote or complex terrain areas, operator signal coverage is limited, resulting in communication blind spots. Additionally, due to the aging of the existing system, there is a significant problem of insufficient communication capacity, leading to poor communication during fishery management. After gaining an in-depth understanding of user needs, Caltta deployed ECS systems and terminals on the shores of Songhua Lake. Combined with the deployment of the PD200, it effectively solved the communication problems in the Songhua Lake.

Caltta's ECS (Enhanced Conventional System) solution, developed on the basis of the DMR digital conventional communication system, combines the advantages of digital trunking systems and conventional systems. This solution offers the ease of setup and low network construction costs of conventional systems while resolving the issues of busy channels and low utilization rates typical of conventional systems. It enables channel sharing among multiple conventional channels at a single site, achieving load balancing and improving channel utilization. By connecting multiple repeaters within a site, the system can support simultaneous communication among multiple groups, significantly increasing channel capacity. By connecting multiple ECS single sites through an IP network, large-capacity dedicated communication can be achieved over across extensive areas and cross-regional scenarios.

The PD200, developed by Caltta based on the PR900 digital repeater, supports voice, SMS, positioning, and patrol functions. Adopting a C/S architecture and modular design, the software is stable, reliable, easy to deploy, and comprehensive, meeting the requirements for multi-service integration, multi-system interconnection, and visual dispatch.

With Caltta ECS solution and PD200 dispatch system, the Songhua Lake area can be managed and dispatched to meet daily communication and dispatch needs.
